God’s Word

God’s word is the Holy Bible, all of it, every word, which we at Saucon Community Church believe to be without error, authoritative, and sufficient for the life of God’s people.
Specifically, we believe all people are sinners and fall short of God’s standard, and are condemned before Him. But God, in His great love for us, made us eternally alive with Christ by His grace, placing the sins of all who believe on Jesus on the cross, and delivering them from sin by the gift of faith in His sinless life, atoning death, and conquering resurrection.
God’s Way

The Bible says that faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
Jesus said that in this world we will have trouble, but we should take heart because He has overcome the world. If we abide in His word, we will know the truth and the truth will set us free.
So faith and freedom come from knowing what God’s word (the Bible) teaches. Thus, we teach the Scriptures, verse by verse, applying the human author’s intended meaning to our lives today.
For God’s Glory

When God ‘turns on the light’ for people to understand His word, they are transformed, saved from their sin, given new life in Christ, beginning a journey of holiness with a new worldview.
Peace and hope are found, and God’s glory is magnified because it is only He who can make the spiritually dead alive again.
This is all part of God’s plan, as He states in His word, He created us for His glory (Isaiah 43:7), and He is glorified in our salvation (John 17).
Saucon Community Church is a part of the Bible Fellowship Church denomination, “an expanding fellowship of churches united to make disciples of Jesus Christ.” Our complete Articles of Faith can be found on our denominational website at www.bfc.org.
